Celebrating Success: Paperless Construction Triumphs at the Digital Construction Awards!

Introduction
We are thrilled to announce that Paperless Construction, in partnership with Eurovia Contracting, emerged victorious at the esteemed Digital Construction Awards in the Health, Safety, and Wellbeing category, sponsored by the Association for Project Safety. The collaboration between Eurovia and Paperless Construction on the Coventry City Council Retail Quarter project showcased unparalleled digital innovation, leading to a well-deserved win at the event held on 12th July.
A Leap Towards a Digital Future with Enhanced Safety and Productivity:
Eurovia's decision to embrace digitization bore remarkable fruits as they trialed Paperless Construction on the Coventry project between March 2020 and October 2021. The technology not only enabled Eurovia to digitize its construction activities and eliminate paper-based processes but also played a pivotal role in transforming health, safety, and environmental compliance practices.
Thanks to Paperless Construction, safety briefings are now recorded in a fraction of the time, leaving behind a comprehensive digital audit trail. Through an intuitive mobile app, every worker on-site gains instant access to their training records, while supervisors and site management benefit from level-based access to check critical information with a simple QR code scan. The success of the trial led to the expansion of Paperless Construction across 120 of Eurovia's projects, resulting in nearly 6,000 digitized user records and competencies, 500,000 working hours, and 16,000 safety briefings.
The Judge's Recognition and Efficiency Gains:
"The judges praised Paperless Construction's exceptional benefits and achievements, recognizing its potential for future projects. The implementation brought substantial efficiency gains, with supervisors saving up to two hours per day, translating to a remarkable 20% improvement in productivity."
A Testament to Transformation:
Philip Reid, Eurovia Contracting's digital operations manager, expressed delight at the recognition, mentioning that the collaboration with Paperless Construction began years ago during Digital Construction Week. He proudly shared how Paperless Construction has transformed their sites, elevating safety and productivity across the board.
Raymond Castelyn, founder of Paperless Construction, applauded the willingness of construction professionals to embrace change, highlighting how those initially hesitant to adopt digital practices soon saw the immense benefits. The shift to digital not only saved time but also greatly enhanced their daily operations.
As we celebrate this prestigious victory, we extend our warmest congratulations to all the other shortlisted companies who contributed to the advancement of the construction industry. We look forward to continued progress and innovation as we embark on an exciting digital future together!
