What our Clients are saying
A contactless option was added to the app in just a few weeks during the first lockdown, removing the need to have people signing themselves in. The Supervisors could sign them in, all contactless, and also give briefings, all contactless
Where Paperless helped me out massively was that I was able to get all the paperwork done in advance and uploaded it to the iPad, and I could have remote access to it on site. For me that was perfect
Before the Paperless Construction app was rolled out, poor quality record-keeping could go unseen, whereas with the app in place, you have a record that's live, visible, and transparent - it's effortless to see if people haven't done what has been asked of them.
The more experienced supervisors, who have been more wedded to old ways of working found they actually liked it. Subsequently, buy-in from the project team was easy; that made our jobs as managers less challenging.
I had the ability to walk up to anyone on-site, scan their QR code and immediately see what tasks they had been briefed on. It links their details from induction to their schedules, and everything’s accessible instantaneously.
Initially I was hesitant, but after trialling it on one project and seeing the benefits it really changed my mind - especially how easy I see teams adopted it and how easy it is to use
With Paperless, I know whom I've got on-site and who's briefed, it saves me carrying around a lot of paperwork and helps with social distancing. And, in fact, the closest you need to be to someone is about a metre away to scan their QR code – everything else is paperless.
I can sit in my office, log into Paperless and know immediately what is happening on the project. I can do it on my tablet or any device because it's synced across all devices. It's accessible from anywhere - all of which means we're achieving our digital objectives.
Extracting data for KPI reporting took minutes not hours, leaving you free to do things you need and want to be concentrating on.
A big plus for me was the flexibility and mobility as we could set a project up in a few hours and go live the same day. All the site team needed was a tablet or a phone, which meant everything could be done remotely.
I only received 5 minutes of training and from there on I found it very simple to use, does what it says on the tin
Paperless is a brilliant way of keeping records and having access to them at a time when you don’t have Wi-Fi or don’t have a compound set up on-site
Since Paperless, I haven't used a sheet of paper. I've not changed the way I do the job, Paperless has changed the way we do the job, and for the better.
We couldn't live without it !
The Eurovia Contracting Salford project is 97% paper-free whereas, a few years ago, there would have been lever arch files everywhere
It’s physically impossible to do the job now unless it’s paperless as processes prohibit anything else. So, our ability to monitor who’s on-site, who attended briefings and who is trained is significantly better than it’s ever been before.
Prior to Paperless Construction, there was a risk of losing records; there was a risk of people not doing what they were supposed to do and not storing documents appropriately. But if that happens now, it's obvious to everyone because there's an immediate gaping hole in the audit trail.
We've been looking for a solution over the past 2 to 3 years, and nothing has worked as fluently and efficiently as ‘Paperless Construction
Paperless Construction is a great way to get people onto our digital journey and to move away from outdated and paper-based systems - we had bricklayers using the app, and that wouldn’t happen with any other solution.
Receiving returned briefing records from site has always been a problem, but with Paperless we can guarantee a 100% return rate - so all our compliance records are in place.
Previously, it was also challenging to check training and competencies globally, especially when working on rail projects and multiple possessions where the client or our supervisors could check competencies and training in real-time - Paperless solved this
The training and support system was really good. Once we decided we were going to use Paperless, support was available 24/7, which was important because we do work at night. The quick responses were excellent. With other systems, you could send a support question or issue in, and it would take forever to resolve
There was no disruption to how we normally did things, we just started doing it digitally - saving time and money along the way
Checking who was on-site, when, and who was briefed on what, was available immediately, and there was no hiding or fudging records
It makes life managing a site much easier. It’s easier to manage hours, manage documents, manage access, and manage simple briefings. It’s a very useful and efficient tool that will speed up engineering processes and the way we work on-site
At the High Brooms cutting emergency project, we went live within a few hours without worrying about having access to Wi-Fi or a site office. Everything was done remotely and the team hit the ground running
The Paperless Construction app is by far the best solution I've tried, and it saves me about 2 hours a day. You've got all the records you need, stored on that little device and it makes perfect sense.
I know a few companies that claim to be paperless, but the Paperless Construction app is by far the best solution I've tried, and it saves me about 2 hours a day.
There was time and efficiency savings everywhere, from a few minutes per sign-in for each member of the team, 5-10minutes per briefing, eliminating time spent on doc control and filing; and a few hours was saved every month for KPI's and reporting"
Reflecting on using Paperless, I realised that if you give the people the right tools, digital transformation is painless.
One of our biggest challenges in going digital is that we should be digital by default; Digital should be built-in, not a bolt-on. Paperless has encouraged people to take the blinkers off and think digitally; it changed their behaviours, a big benefit of the app to the business.
What we like best about Paperless is that everything is in one place – access control, briefings, competencies, training, [we like] the ease of use, excellent training and support - the dashboards are great to look at.
It's the best paperless digital tool out there, it does everything and it's easy to use – I would recommend anyone wanting to use it, to do it!
I saved up to about an hour a day, or 5 hours a week, plus the time taken to file and retrieve physical, paper records.
With the ‘paperwork’ taken care of, I can now focus on really adding value whilst out on-site – looking at new ways of working and engaging with local people to make a difference to the quality of our work.
because the tool is very intuitive and easy to use, uptake was quick and simple, with the team immediately seeing the benefits – which drove its use.
We clearly saved cost in terms of paper, printing, processing and storage, but the engagement and environmental benefits were the most rewarding. There was an investment in the hardware required, but that's a worthwhile one to take moving into a greener, digital world
