CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) and CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) cards provide evidence that construction workers have the relevant competencies for the jobs they do on-site within the UK.
There is a legal requirement for employers to ensure those working on their projects are competent and holding a recognised competency card is one way in demonstrating that an individual has relevant training, required skills and experience needed to work safely in the role.
The CITB provide an Online Card Checker, free to use on their website, to check the validity of the following card types:
- CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
- CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme)
- CISRS (Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme)
